Privacy notice

What ucaspoints.com collects about you, why, where it is processed, who else may receive it, for how long, and what you can do about it. Written to be read, not skimmed.

Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is CogniPath Education. Questions about this notice and requests about your data go to the enquiry form, where they are handled by Education adviser, CogniPath Education.

We recruit, as an independent agent, for London School of Planning and Management, referred to below as LSPM. LSPM teaches, assesses and certifies the diplomas described here as their approved centre. It is a separate organisation in the United Kingdom and a separate data controller, and it receives your details only in the circumstances described below.

Where your data is processed

We are based in the United Arab Emirates, so anything you send us through this site is processed there. For a reader in the United Kingdom or the European Union that is an international transfer to a country that neither the UK nor the EU has recognised as offering equivalent data protection by default. We rely on your explicit consent, given when you tick the box on the enquiry form after reading this notice, and on the following safeguards: the data is limited to what you type into the form; it is held on password-protected, access-restricted systems used only by the people who answer enquiries; it is never sold or used for advertising; and you keep every right described under Your rights regardless of where the data sits. If you would rather not have your details processed outside the UK, do not use the form; you can instead contact LSPM in London directly, and nothing about you reaches us.

The calculator keeps nothing

The Tariff calculator runs entirely in your browser. The qualifications and grades you enter are not sent to our server, not stored, and disappear when you leave the page. We cannot see them and have no record that you used it.

The enquiry form

When you send an enquiry we collect what you type: name, email address, telephone number and country if you give them, the programme you chose, your preferred study mode and start, your message, and whether you asked for a call back. We also record the time, the page you came from and a shortened, one-way hash of your browser's user-agent string, which we use only to spot automated submissions.

We use this to reply to you and to advise you on your options. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and thereafter our legitimate interest in answering a question you asked us. We keep enquiries for twelve months from the last contact, then delete them. If you are referred to LSPM, we keep a record of the referral for six years, because LSPM pays us on enrolment and we need to be able to show which enrolments we introduced.

Enquiries are stored on our own systems. If email delivery is configured, a copy is also sent to our inbox. They are not passed to the awarding organisations, to UCAS, to any university, or to any marketing company. Nobody is added to a mailing list.

When your details go to LSPM

If, after our reply, you tell us you want to proceed with a programme, we pass your name, contact details, the programme you are interested in and a summary of your enquiry to the admissions team at London School of Planning and Management, Office 7, 35-37 Ludgate Hill, London, EC4M 7JN, United Kingdom (LSPM's website). The purpose is admissions: so that LSPM can assess your eligibility, quote its fee and, if you apply, enrol you. We do not pass anything to LSPM until you ask us to. For a UK reader this step brings your data back into the UK; for an EU reader it is a transfer to the UK, which the EU recognises as adequate.

From that point LSPM is the controller of the data it holds about you, under its own privacy notice, which it should give you when it first contacts you. It keeps learner records for the duration of your studies and for the period the awarding organisations require afterwards. Requests about data LSPM holds go to LSPM; requests about data we hold go to us.

You should know that LSPM pays us a referral fee when someone we introduce enrols. That fee is the reason we keep a record of who we referred. It does not change the fee you pay LSPM and it does not give us access to your admissions or academic records, which stay with LSPM.

If you follow an Apply link from this site to LSPM's application page, you leave this site and are giving your details to LSPM directly. The link carries a code identifying this site as the referrer, and nothing about you.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies when you arrive. The enquiry form uses one short-lived cookie to protect against forged submissions; it contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser.

Live chat. When live chat is enabled on this site, a chat widget supplied by London School of Planning and Management (LSPM), the approved centre, is loaded from its provider (webchat.saaclabs.com) on every page. The widget stores a session identifier in your browser's local storage and sends the address of the page you are on and the referring page to that provider so that a conversation can be continued across pages. Anything you type in the chat goes to LSPM's admissions team, not to us, and is handled under LSPM's own privacy notice.

If analytics is enabled, you will see a banner asking whether you accept a single Google Analytics 4 cookie. Nothing is loaded until you say yes. If you say no, or ignore the banner, no analytics code runs. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and you can change it by clearing site data. When enabled, analytics tells us which pages and which calculator features people use, with IP addresses anonymised. We do not use it for advertising and we do not share it. If you follow the Apply link to LSPM's application page, the analytics identifier may be passed across so that a visit is counted once rather than twice; that is the only cross-site measurement in place.

Links to other sites

We link to UCAS, Ofqual, OTHM, Qualifi and to LSPM's website and application page. Each has its own privacy notice, and once you follow a link this one no longer applies. Links to LSPM are marked as sponsored because LSPM pays us.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, ask us to stop processing it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Use Enquiry form and we will respond within one month. If we have already passed your details to LSPM at your request, we will tell you so that you can make the same request to LSPM. If you are unhappy with our response, a UK reader can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, and an EU reader to their national data protection authority. We will cooperate with either.

Children

The site is written for people aged 16 and over, and the enquiry form should not be completed by anyone younger. If a parent or adviser is enquiring on behalf of a young person, please say so in the message.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that affects how your data is used, the review date in the footer will change and the section concerned will say what is different. Reviewed September 2026.
